Team Lead AVEVA NET

Dimensions:

The AVEVA NET Team Lead has responsibility for the day-to-day management of their own activities as well as responsibility for the overall activities of the GSC AVEVA NET team.

  • Responsible for organising and prioritising the day-to-day activities of the AVEVA NET Team and monitoring their delivery.
  • Responsible for integrating the activities and requirements of the AVEVA NET Team in conjunction with the AVEVA NET Products Programme Manager, and also for ensuring a consistent approach with the wider GSC organisation.
  • Vital link between the GSC AVEVA NET team and AVEVA NET Product Development (Cambridge), and the Marine Technology Support Centre (Busan).
  • Link between GSC AVEVA NET team and, through the AVEVA NET Solutions Team, all AVEVA Business Units.
  • Link between GSC AVEVA NET team and AVEVA NET System Test teams (Cambridge/India)

Principal Accountabilities:

The AVEVA NET Team Lead is responsible for the planning of the team's technical schedule of activities, progress/status reporting and successful performance/delivery of all GSC roles within AVEVA.

  • Responsible for helping to define the test approach and ensuring its successful execution and implementation.
  • Validating the Product Readiness of AVEVA NET (and associated products) via a series of engineering based tests (to be created, maintained and constantly extended) within the Group Solutions Centre.
  • Facilitating the passage of AVEVA NET Product issues through the AVEVA Helpdesk System.
  • Verification and replication of errors, liaison with Product Development during the fix cycle and validation of fix before release to Business Unit or customer.
  • Delivery of any AVEVA NET (and associated products) support services (training, implementation, customisation, etc.) where AVEVA NET Solutions Team and Business Unit resource is unavailable.
  • Responsible for documenting and distributing high quality AVEVA NET (and associated products) technical information, collateral and knowledge throughout AVEVA.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining AVEVA NET (and associated products) training material as well as certifying Business Unit resource to deliver said training material.
  • Working with Product Development to continually improve the quality of AVEVA NET (and associated products).

Important Working Relationships:

  • To work with members of the GSC Management Team to ensure timely, high quality deliveries are the result of all GSC activities, ultimately helping to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • To work with AVEVA NET Programme Manager in agreeing the AVEVA NET Team activities, and in the ongoing development of Quality procedures and initiatives. Report on progress, highlight issues and suggest suitable mitigation.
  • To work with each member of the AVEVA NET Team to ensure they are motivated and suitably equipped to deliver against all tasks assigned to them.  To work with the team to generate a strong team ethic.
  • To work with Commercial/Support Teams regarding AVEVA NET (and associated products) customer issues and requirements, setting priorities and delivering solutions/resolutions.
  • To work with AVEVA NET (and associated products) customers regarding current issues and future requirements in relation to industry changes/advancements.
  • To work with Product Development regarding requirements, priorities, deliverables and content of future AVEVA NET (and associated products) software.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience and knowledge of relevant industry practice and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of AVEVA products would be beneficial (but not essential).
  • An ability to communicate product issues between customers and colleagues.
  • An ability to communicate management requirements to team members and any team member feedback/concerns to management.
  • Structured and able to create, refine and execute procedures while also having the ability to think quickly and react positively to any rapidly evolving or unexpected scenarios.
  • An excellent documenter and communicator.
  • Willing to travel, & work at client offices/sites
  • Good on technology & methodology with some exposure to one or more of the following:
    • Data Warehousing
    • Document Management
    • Information Management.
    • Product Data Management
    • Product Lifecycle Management
    • SQL Server
    • SharePoint
    • .NET
