Corporate Communication Manager

Job Purpose:

The Corporate Communication Manager will work within the global marketing team to develop and execute external communications plans with press, analysts, customers and prospects, as well as a range of internal communications programmes for AVEVA employees worldwide.

Dimensions:

The Corporate Communication Manager will be responsible for a number of strategic communications activities including the management of a global advertising campaign and corporate portal planning, with a total budget of approximately £200k.  The Manager will also be responsible for meeting quarterly targets on press and analyst contacts, and working with other members of the marketing team to consistently improve the effectiveness of AVEVA's web-based initiatives.

Principal Accountabilities:

The primary objective of the Corporate Communication Manager is to raise the overall visibility of AVEVA with customers, prospects, and identified key stakeholders in targeted markets, and to improve the flow of internal information throughout the organisation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Relationship management with press & industry analysts
  • Coordination of press & analyst briefings
  • Global communication programme design, development, and execution
  • Advertisement campaign management - online and print
  • Preparation of press releases and communication materials
  • Editorial schedule monitoring, article creation and placement
  • Web analytics reporting through Meltwater and Sitecore
  • CRM system and lead management coordination
  • Control and management of sales win reporting
  • Coordination of corporate and regional eNewsletters and information updates
  • Social networking strategy development
  • Management of marketing requirements for the corporate information portal
  • Customer case study identification and development
  • Corporate programme management - Press targets, Green programmes, CSR strategy
  • Acquisition and crisis communication planning

Important Working Relationships:

It is essential that the Corporate Communication Manager is a strong team player and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.  This position will work alongside the corporate marketing and business strategy teams in Cambridge, and with regional marketing and sales groups in offices around the world, on the execution of tightly coordinated marketing and sales support activities.  This Manager will also be responsible for the relationship with AVEVA's external press agency, and with key journalists / analysts, and will be expected to manage 3rd party service providers to develop metrics for the systematic improvement of communication effectiveness.
