We now have a vacancy for a Senior Business Solutions Consultant with AVEVA, Inc. located in any one of our North American offices (Houston, Calgary or Wilmington). The AVEVA Business Solution Consultant acts in a consultative selling role for design solutions and in solving client problems using AVEVA Solutions. The business solutions team works hand in hand with sales to define appropriate solutions.

Job Purpose:

To work in the Business Solution organization in a strategic business consultancy capacity to contributing to the growth of AVEVA business within the North American market. This role has responsibility for market/opportunity analysis identification through solution presentations with a focus on increasing market share for AVEVA solutions. The role is further defined by strategic and tactical relationship development at the Director level and above, leading to overall market development in the territory.

Dimensions:

This role is part of a small team that will work very closely with marketing, divisional sales and the AVEVA NET organization to develop a robust sales pipeline and ultimately drive new business. The position requires the ability to work with the client to collaboratively build business models that will see sustainable growth for AVEVA and deliver high, clearly identifiable and repeatable business value to the client. It is an expectation that travel to clients, partners, prospects, AVEVA offices etc. (including overseas and sometimes at short notice) will be a normal requirement of successfully executing this role.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Be a key contributor to meet AVEVA's North America (NA) revenue, market growth and performance expectations
  • Be a key contributor to market development plans which accomplish AVEVA sales objectives by leveraging existing clients and creating new sales opportunities
  • Maximize strategic and tactical relationship development while winning new business through key targeted enterprise accounts
  • To define and present AVEVA's Solutions to prospective clients which meet client's requirements
  • Participate in workshops, seminars and industry/professional organizations
  • Develop campaigns to grow AVEVA's market penetration and revenue within designated accounts or markets
  • Conduct consultative studies to quantify value assessments, solution design and project scoping
  • Responsible for proactively promoting/selling product and services both internally and externally
  • Strive towards a Business Consultant "To-be-State" including broadening his/her knowledge base, improving business and industry acumen

Important Working Relationships:

  • Business Development - Work with the Business Development Teams and the Regional VPs in identifying opportunities and market development initiatives
  • Technical Services and Solutions Delivery - Work with the Technical Services and Solutions Delivery teams to assure AVEVA Solutions proposals meet opportunity requirements  
  • Customers - Develop strategic and tactical relationships with our current and prospective clients that will lead to market development within North America
  • Marketing - Help to elevate the AVEVA Solution message in identified and new business verticals
  • Sales - Work with the North America Sales Teams in matters related to new revenue generation.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least ten (10) years experience in a related industry sector
  • Able to travel 50% of time
  • Bachelor's degree, or advanced degree in a relevant engineering or business discipline
  • An advanced understanding in the area of information management solutions associated with process facility design and operations
  • Knowledge of the plant engineering, design, procurement, and construction business either from an owner-operator or engineering contractor background
  • Experience presenting complex technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through presentations, demonstrations and proposals
  • Understanding of strategic / consultative selling processes, including demonstrated success participating and succeeding in strategic selling and consultative sales environments
  • Experience in solution development and benefits quantification or assessment
  • Must be goal oriented, revenue driven and able to operate in a cross functional team environment
  • Strong customer-facing skills with excellent presentation skills
