Application Consultant (Presales) – Brazil

Job Purpose:

The Application Consultant has a key role in supporting the existing client base and contributing to the growth of business within Brazil by providing:

  • Pre-sales support and presentations
  • Post-sales support
  • Post-sales product implementation
  • Consultancy services
  • Training

The consultant will have responsibility for delivery of services to customers, both internally and externally, and may be required to travel at short notice to an AVEVA office, or customer location, anywhere in the LatAm region or around the world.

These services will consist mainly of communicating the value and effectiveness of the AVEVA Plant and AVEVA Marine portfolio to potential clients, and ensuring that existing clients maximize the benefits from our solutions in their business operations.

Principal Accountabilities:

Based in Brazil, this role is primarily responsible for supporting growth within the country.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the AVEVA products or engineering processes for which they are responsible.
  • Have a proven ability to perform the various tasks associated with the role.
  • Develop trust and respect with technical specialists both within AVEVA and among the user community.
  • Build positive mutually beneficial relationships with clients at all levels and in all areas of their organization
  • Deliver excellent, professional and knowledgeable services, both internally and to AVEVA's customers and prospects.
  • Provide specialist technical sales support as required to customers in Brazil.
  • Work with members of Technical and sales team to develop solution positioning and client proposals.
  • Develop technical skills within your primary domain and into other AVEVA product areas to assist in the growth of the Brazilian technical team.

Important Working Relationships:

Be able to function effectively as a member of a team and have excellent communication skills and will be expected to develop good working relationships in the following areas:

  • Sales: Work with the sales team in identifying opportunities, providing technical support at all levels of customer engagement and responding to product support issues.
  • Technical: Work within a small dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal and technical skills to maximize the team's efficiency.
  • Customer: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

The consultant is expected to have good knowledge of AVEVA products or similar competitor solutions and relevant industry experience.

The individual should also have:

  • Proven experience in a related industry sector.
  • BS or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proactive approach towards clients.
  • Ability to take responsibility to deliver.
  • Proven experience of AVEVA products or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of the plant engineering, design, procurement, and construction business either from an owner-operator or engineering contractor background.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team.
  • Willingness to travel within Brazil and the LatAm region.
  • Aspirations to work in a customer focused position.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage and handle multiple and possibly competing commitments simultaneously.
  • Willingness to develop or ability to demonstrate excellent presentation skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Bilingual Portuguese/English.
