AVEVA has always recognised the key role its customers play in the evolution of its technology and products, and has formed close relationships with its user communities.
In recent years, the AVEVA user community has grown extremely diverse and a number of local industry and product-specific groups have been established to represent these different communities of users.
Key local user groups are awarded 'VIEWpoint' status and recognised as the official 'VIEWpoint' of their particular country or region. Each group is then represented in the Summit Team, which interacts directly with AVEVA's business direction and product development organisation.

The Summit Team (formerly WULF – the Worldwide User Liaison Forum) is the consolidated voice of the user groups. It functions as an advocate on behalf of the larger VIEWpoint community, and focuses the user groups' input in a meaningful way that encourages action on the part of AVEVA.
The primary objectives of the team are:
- to influence the alignment of the AVEVA product development plan with business and technical input from regional user organisations.
- to partner with AVEVA in maintaining a mutually beneficial, consolidated vision for the user community.
