AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface's architecture is designed to allow future interfaces between AVEVA PDMS and other pipe stress systems.

How it works

1. AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface can be used at all stages from initial layout to final detailed design.
2. The pipe stress system is selected from pipe branches in AVEVA PDMS.
3. Pipe properties such as weights and wall thicknesses may be obtained from within the PDMS project or from an external source.
4. Data is transferred to CAESAR II via an intermediate file. The user can modify the order in which the stress system will be processed.
5. Results such as suggested re-routes, support loads and displacements, may be transferred back to PDMS for further use.
6. Design work, such as clash checking, pipe routing and support design, is completed in AVEVA PDMS.
