AVEVA MARS is a purpose-designed shipbuilding process management system that optimises the unique project control, logistics, materials management, resource and production planning processes used by shipyards.

Formerly Logimatic MARS, AVEVA MARS is in use by all types of shipyard on all types of project, including commercial and naval newbuild; repairs, refits and conversions; outfitting and offshore projects.

MARS Material

In this application all basic ship project data is created and refined, from design & engineering information, through drawings, materials, equipment and parts listing, followed by procurement and stock and warehouse management.

Special outfitting functions are provided, giving the production department a clear overview of the resource requirements and availability for each task. Standard and project-specific materials catalogues are available. Many shipyards consider this a very powerful feature.

Classification of project materials by type enables tight control and tracking of high-value equipment and materials.

MARS Planning

MARS Planning closes the loop between planning, control and feedback. It improves the transparency of order processing and enables decision making based on up-to-date information, both on individual and multiple projects.

It features an intuitive, graphical interface for integrated top-down planning from rough outline through to operation and control.

As the project progresses and more information becomes available, individual processes are described in more detail with the help of secondary processes. These 'partial nets' can be handled independently but remain part of the overall plan.

MARS Production

MARS Production is a comprehensive tool for managing a shipyard's prefabrication and outfitting processes through the entire lifecycle of shop and work orders - from creating, scheduling and releasing them, through issuing, reserving and picking materials, to status reporting.

Special functions handle prefabrications, such as pipe spools, doors, hatches and ladders, through their manufacturing processes, storage, and subsequent assembly in the vessel.

MARS Production links planning, materials and resources, ensuring that fabrication and outfitting tasks are carried out to plan, monitoring performance and continuously tracking all jobs' status.
